Snippets in Eclipse

• 1. Installing Snippets inEclipse (Juno)This tutorial shows you how to install the Eclipse Snippet plugin if it’s notavailable. Snippets are part of the Web Developer Tools, specifically the WSTCommon UI. • 2. From the menu bar, select Help ➞ Install New Software...
• 3. Enter “http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno” into the “Work with:” text box.Scroll down, find and expand the “Web, XML ... Development” entry.
• 4. Scroll down and check the “Eclipse Web Developer Tools” item.Then, click the “Next” button.
• 5. On the next page, click the “Next” button again.
• 6. Activate the “I accept the terms ...” radio button.Then, click the “Finish” button.
• 7. Let Eclipse do its thing, then restart Eclipse when it asks you to.
• 8. From the menu bar, choose Window ➞ Show View ➞ Other...
• 9. Start typing “snip” in the filter box.Then, select “Snippets” and then click the “OK” button.
• 10. The snippets view will probably appear in the bottom pane (note, yours will probably be empty).
